Jocko Younger
Master’s Level Counselor
He was a student intern at Cornerstone Clinic in 2022. That same year, he earned his Master of Arts degree from Concordia University in California. He also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, and education from Wayland Baptist University.
He is retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served for many years. He specializes in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and addictions, and works with adults, adolescents, and couples.
He is a member of SERVIC and earned his CDCS certification in 1993. He is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Shelley Biss
Ph.d in Pastoral Counseling, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Chemical Dependency Counselor II
Shelley recently joined Cornerstone Health Counseling in 2024. She received her Ph.D in Clinical Pastoral Counseling in 2015 from Colorado Theological Seminary. She has held a License as a Clinical Social Worker from UAA and CDCII (Chemical Dependency Counselor Certificate) since 2007. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a double minor in Philosophy and Music from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
Shelley has extensive experience working in the field of substance abuse and chemical dependency. In 2003, she helped found the first DWI/Drug felony therapeutic court in Anchorage, Alaska. She has worked at Providence Breakthrough, Dena A Coy Residential Facility, Pathway Home, Alaska Psychiatric Institute, ANMC/Southcentral Foundation, and Catholic Social Services. Shelley most recently has worked with Project Rachel, a program that helps families grieve the loss of their unborn. In addition to working at Cornerstone, she also provides respite counseling at Alaska Child and Family Services in their adolescent residential treatment centers.
Shelley works with adolescents, adults, and couples. Shelley specializes in the areas of addiction, grief, relationship issues, parenting, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Shelley is well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and the 12 Steps. She uses a variety of Faith-based and Strengths-based therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment and goals to meet the needs of each client.
Shelley is married and has two children. She loves to ski, hike, bike, and compete in triathlon. She has a passion for travel with a goal to visit all National Parks and Monuments in the USA. She loves historical fiction, jazz music, and her two orange tabby cats.

Olivia Colon
Master’s Level Counselor
Olivia started her internship at Cornerstone Clinic in August 2019. She earned her bachelors’ degree in Psychology from Ashford University and received her masters’ degree from Wayland Baptist University here in Anchorage.
Olivia served a year in the Texas Army National Guard and 9 years in the United States Army. Olivia is married with 3 children.
Olivia currently works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her special interests include trauma, communication, codependency, parenting, couples counseling, and pre-marital counseling. Olivia counsels individuals and couples suffering from a variety of issues including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and adverse childhood experiences. Her approach is “solution-focused and insight-oriented”.

Nancy Gehm
Licensed Professional Counselor; Chemical Dependency Counselor I
Nancy first joined Cornerstone Health Counseling in the fall of 2017. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology through Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and her Master’s of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, Alaska.
Because of Nancy’s licensure, all insurance companies can be billed except for Medicare and Medicaid.
Nancy currently counsels individual adults and couples working through a variety of issues including substance abuse and other addictions, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma recovery. She is a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Grief Recovery Specialist and has special training in trauma recovery.
She is also qualified as an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) provider. Nancy works with couples on relational and communication issues and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Jessica Harrison, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Jessica Harrison is a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her Doctor of Clinical Psychology Degree (PsyD) from George Fox University, an APA-accredited program. She completed her internship at Providence Family Medicine Center in Anchorage, Alaska, and her post-doctoral training at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Yakima, Washington. She recently returned to Anchorage to be close to family and enjoy the great Alaskan outdoors!
Jessica provides individual counseling to adults, ages 18+, experiencing a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief/loss, trauma, relationship problems, chronic illnesses, faith and spirituality issues, and personal growth and career development challenges.
Jessica was trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She uses a biopsychosocial (and spiritual) model to address the needs of each person.
Jessica also conducts differential diagnostic testing and comprehensive Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) evaluations for children and adults.

Beth Hopkins
Licensed Professional Counselor
Beth joined Cornerstone Health Counseling in November of 2007. Beth is recognized by most insurance companies and provides therapy for most mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. She works with individuals, couples, and families.
Her special interests include relationship issues (premarital, marital, friends, family, etc.), weight loss, anger management, trauma, grief and loss, addictions, and faith-based concerns.
Beth is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in speech at Seattle Pacific College in Seattle, Washington, and a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Beth comes to us with previous experience as a teacher and as a speaker in schools in the United States and overseas. She has been married for over 35 years and has four children.

Katya Kennedy
Master’s Level Counselor
Katya is a bilingual (Russian-speaking) master’s level counselor. She joined Cornerstone Health Counseling as a student intern in 2022. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Townsend Institute (Concordia University, Irvine). Katya also holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Far East University (Russia).
She is married with 2 teenage children. Through her own life experiences, she has an in-depth understanding of grief and loss, acculturation, post-traumatic stress-related disorders, depression, anxiety, marriage, and family dynamics.
Katya enjoys working with couples contemplating marriage or needing help with marriage issues using Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and skills from the Gottman Institute. She also provides individual therapy for adolescents (16+) and adults. Her areas of interest are relationship issues, personal growth, self-esteem, boundaries, parenting, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. Katya uses a person-centered integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment and goals to the individual needs of the client. Additionally, she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Linda King
Licensed Marriage & Family Counselor, Clinical Director
Linda has been a Marriage and Family Therapist, a supervisor for LPC’s and LMFT’s working towards licensure as well as the Clinical Supervisor at Cornerstone since 2005. She is recognized by most insurance companies including some EAP’s. She has also been recognized by Focus on the Family. She came to Alaska from Las Vegas, Nevada where she received both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Science in counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to leaving Las Vegas, she built a thriving private practice. She serves on a church staff for twenty-five years in several capacities. She moved to Alaska to be close to her son and three grandchildren. She was born and raised in New Mexico. Her parents were missionaries and then moved into the education field. She married over 50 years ago and moved all over the United States with her husband who spent twenty years in the United States Air Force.
Linda’s area of practice includes individuals, families, couples, children and adolescence. She has advance training in: Play therapy, EMDR, EFT, Gottman, trauma, PTSD, Communication, Solution Focus, Family Systems, Anxiety, Depression and other areas of mental health. She has been a speaker for Positive Parenting, Beyond Borders, church groups and facilitated groups on boundaries, parenting, and co-dependency.

Suki Lewis, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Born and raised in Alaska, Suki chose to pursue a career in psychology after staying home to raise her daughters. Suki and her husband have been married for over thirty years. She has been counseling as a Master’s level counselor since 2011 and as a Licensed Psychologist since 2015.
Suki counsels from a principle belief that all individuals have intrinsic, God-given value. She believes in empowering each person to live life as their best selves in keeping with their identified values. Her approach is solution-focused and insight-oriented. Suki currently counsels individuals, couples, families, and adolescents. She specializes in personal and spiritual growth, depression, anxiety, grief (including loss by suicide), communication, marriage, and parenting adolescents. She is certified in EAP (Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy), has advanced training in Gottman method relationship therapy, and has trained with Drs. John Townsend and Henry Cloud in their faith-based model of personal growth.
Suki earned her Master’s and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University.

Sarah Mills

Sarah was raised in Anchorage and is one of the four founders of Christian Health Associates (CHA) and Cornerstone Health. She currently serves as the Associate Director of CHA and administrator of the counseling center. Sarah is recognized by most insurance companies and provides therapy for most mental health issues (anxiety, depression, etc).
Her special interests include EDMR, grief, abuse, pre-marital and marital issues, trauma, and spiritual issues. Mary Patterson
Licensed Professional Counselor
Mary first joined Cornerstone Health Counseling as a student intern in 2013. Before coming to Cornerstone she worked for many years as an Accounting Manager with a local utility company and as a tax professional with H&R Block. She has also worked with individuals, groups, and families mainly in faith-based (congregational) settings over the past thirty-plus years.
Mary holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was licensed as a Professional Counselor by the State of Alaska in August 2016.
Mary uses a person-centered approach to counseling and employs an eclectic use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gestalt, (to name a few), as deemed necessary by clients’ circumstances. Mary offers her services to individuals, couples, and teenagers (ages 16 and older)– with a passion for issues relative to women and married couples, and experience in working with addictions.

Susan Ratcliffe
Licensed Professional Counselor; Chemical Dependency Counselor I
Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Chemical Dependency Certificate (CDC1). She works alongside adults (18+) that may be experiencing a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, post-traumatic stress, spirituality or faith issues, relationship problems, grief/loss issues, and substance use.
She provides a non-judgmental space where individuals can openly and honestly evaluate unsatisfactory life patterns. Susan has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMs).
Susan joined Cornerstone Counseling Clinic in 2021 after working for several years in a substance use treatment program. She completed her Master’s in Counseling degree from Liberty University in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. Susan enjoys living in Alaska. In addition, to being a counselor, she is a wife and a mother to adult children.

Pam Shepherd
Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Chemical Dependency Counselor I
Pam Shepherd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDCI). Pam earned her Bachelors’s and Masters’s degrees in Social Work at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
A life-long Alaskan, Pam has been licensed by the State of Alaska since 2017 and can take most forms of insurance.
Ms. Shepherd counsels individuals suffering from a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adverse childhood experiences, grief and loss, substance abuse and codependency, stress management, and coping skills for the highly sensitive person. Pam focuses on enhancing wellbeing through personal insight, distress tolerance, building resiliency, self-empowerment, and spiritual growth.
Pam is trained in the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Person-centered counseling.

MC Reynoso
Master’s Level Counselor
MC is a trilingual (English, Tagalog, and Visaya) speaking master-level counselor who was born in the Philippines and raised in Kodiak, Alaska.
She is married with three children and serves as a youth pastor in the church. After serving in the United States Air Force, she earned her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University. MC holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Alaska Pacific University and is currently a doctoral student there.
She believes in empowering each person to live life as their best selves in keeping with their identified values. MC counsels adolescents, adults, and couples. She specializes in personal and spiritual growth, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges including communication issues in parenting and couples/marriage issues.
MC’s approach is solution-focused and insight-oriented. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman principles as therapy modalities.
